Zachary gets glasses

I have suspected for some time now that Zachary might need glasses. Last year when Zach went for his 5 year check up he had his eyes checked. At that time we was seeing 20/40 in both eyes. As the last year has gone by, I have kept it in the back of head that he might be needing glasses.

So when we went for his 6 year check up we checked his eyes again and he did not do you hot. He was 20/50 in one and 20/60 in the other eye. He also just had his eyes checked at school and failed that exam also. So are next plan was a trip to the eye doctor for an official check.

Before his appointment we stopped in at Vision Works, to look at some glasses and get him use to the idea, one evening after getting the boys hair cuts. He was not very interested in them and just wanted to go home. Zach does not like change and it takes a while for him to get use to the idea. So I am glad that we did this, before we really had to pick some out

The day of his appointment it was in the morning so he did not go to school. We went to his appointment and it was quite a process. Zach had a really hard time focusing one of his eyes for a test which made it hard to get a fine tune prescription. We did get one pretty close to what he needed.

So after his appointment we went to pick up Chris so he could go with us to pick out Zach's official glasses. It took some time and trying on of lots of different glasses, but we finally found the prefect ones. So while they worked on his prescription, we took Zach to lunch.

After lunch we headed back to VisionWorks to pick up his new sets of glasses. We got two pairs one for him to wear everyday and one pair for backup in case something happened to the first pair. He looks so handsome in his glasses.

After getting his glasses I took him back to school. He was very worried about what people would say, but when I picked him up he said that everyone liked his glasses and that no one every laughed at him.
