Drought and Storms

You all know that we are in serious need of rain. Well, yesterday we got some!!! While I was excited about the rain, we could have done without all the high winds and lightening. Chris was out of town when the storm came through which is not a big deal except that I am afraid of storms and I have been ever since I was little. I know it is silly, but I feel safer in a car or outside where I can see what is happening than in a house were I have know clue what is going on outside. Thankful the storm was during the day, so I could see outside.

While the storm was happening we got a big gust of wind or something, because our nice big oak tree in the back came falling down right next to the boys swing set. Thankfully, it did not damage the swing set. I was scared out of my mind. But I kept it together and the boys and I just sat on the couch and watched TV till the storm passed. The storm also had blown Chris grill off the porch. So thankfully, Chris dad came out after work and helped me pick up the grill and move the swing set out of the way.

I have to say, that it was pretty eventful day and I am hoping we won't have one again for a while. I will just welcome the rain!!!

Happy Birthday Papo!!!

On Saturday, when daddy got home from work, we loaded up the car to head down to El Campo to celebrate Papo's birthday and attend the church picinic.

Saturday evening Chris and Travis cooked a wonderful seafood pasta dinner for Papo and then we had birthday cake that Ryan picked out and help make. We had a really nice evening hanging out and relaxing with Nana and Papo.

On Sunday, we woke up and headed to the church picinic for a day of fun. The kids had a blast. Ryan always looks forward to the picinic and talks about it everytime we are at the KC hall. We had such a wonderful weekend with family.

Happy Birthday to the best Dad and Papo ever!!!

Comal County Parade and Fair

This past Friday Comal County had their annual Parade and Fair Day!!! We met up with the Wence to watch the parade. The kids had so much fun and were really excited to see their Daddy in the parade with the fire truck. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures of Daddy. I was busy getting Zach to see him. The kids behaved really well. We left before the parade was over to avoid traffic and to get to the fair before the crowd got there. The kids had so much fun looking at the animals and riding the rides.

I have to say we had a pretty successful morning. By the time we left it was lunch and nap time and all the kids were wore out.

A&M vs. Idaho

This past weekend Chris, the boys and I made a trip up to Aggieland for some good ol' Aggie football. I love going to College Station on game weekends. There is so much going on and you really get the feel of the Aggie Spirit.

We started talking about going up there on Thursday, we kept going back and forth about making the drive and stuff just for the day, being we did not have any tickets to the game. Friday, Chris went to work and I got busy plotting and planning.

First, I started looking online for tickets and then I remembered that my Uncle Andy always get 2 season tickets to all the home games every year. So I placed a call to see if anyone was going with him and to let him know that if he had an extra ticket that Chris would love to go. Mind you, while I am plotting and planning Chris was even thinking about going to the game. After a few hours, Uncle Andy called back and said that plans had changed and that he was go to sit with my Uncle Billy and we could have both of his tickets. I was so excited and thankful.

At first I was going to keep it a secret and not tell Chris until about an hour before the game, but Ryan heard me talking on the phone to Nana about it, so I figured I should tell him before the beans got spilled. He was so excited to be going and could not believe I was able to pull it off.

Saturday, morning we got up and head to Aggieland. Both the boys were super excited to go to Aggieland and to see Uncle Tim and Leo his lab. While, Chris and Ry went to the game, (Yes, I gave the other ticket to Ryan. It was kind of hard, but knew he would have fun) Zach and I watched the game at Uncle Tim's apartment. Ryan lasted till after halftime, which worked out pretty well since we had to drive back. We all had a good time and can not wait till we get to go back to watch the A&M vs. Kansas.

P.S. The Aggies won 37-7. WHOOP!!!

First Day of MDO

It is so hard to believe that both boys are attending Mother's Day Out this year. I have to say I am very excited to get some quality Mommy time in, but I do miss them both.

The first day went ok. Zach cried a little, but did ok. He ate all his lunch and even napped. I think it make it easier for him to because his friend Taryn is in his class. Ryan on the other hand had a day like I expected. Ryan like to try a push the limits and that is exactly what he tried to do on his first day. He ended up having to sit and watch the other kids play when they went outside. I was very happy to see this from his teacher. I think it laid down the ground rules really fast and hopefully next week will go a lot better.

Right now they are going just one day a week, but starting in October they will attend Mondays and Wednesday.

I guess this would be a good time to update about doing preschool at home. Right now we are in a holding pattern. I do want to still work on stuff at home, but I am not sure exactly where it will fit in. I am hoping that when Chris schedule settles back, we will find our routine and can then get back to it. I love teaching both boys and they love getting the attention. So hopefully, starting in October we can get settled into a routine that includes school time at home.

Football Season is Here

I am so excited that football season is finally here. I have been waiting patiently for this time a of year so get here. I just wish the weather would cooperate and feel like football weather. I am so tired of this dry hot weather.

This past Sunday the Aggies came out fighting and had a big win over SMU. It was a good game, I am just sad that we were not able to watch all of it, because we were helping prepare dinner for Chris and the other firemen who had been out fighting a big grass fire on Canyon Lake.

Here are some pics of my favorite Lil' Aggies!!

A New Job Adventure

I finally took the plunge and became a Scentsy Independent Sales Consultant. I have been going back and forth for months about doing this and finally decided that I could do it. If any of you know me this is going way out of my comfort zone. I am very shy in new setting and around people I don't know. So I figured this is a good challenge for me.

I am very excited to see what this will do for me and my family. I pray everyday I made a good decision in doing this. I will leave you with some pics of warmers and scents that I just love.
