Sablatura Family Christmas

After opening present with Nana, Papo, Uncle Travis and Aunt Brittany, we all loaded up to head over to the Shafer's house for the Sablatura Christmas.

I love that even though our individual families our growing, we still trying to get together with all our Aunts, Uncles and cousin twice a year. I love being able to catch up with all my cousins (in between chasing kids) and the kids get to play with all their little cousins. I know the Grandma or as the kids called her "Granny" we be very happy to see us all together.

Ok, back to Christmas. We had a great time visiting and even walked away with some awesome gifts for the Chinese Christmas gift exchange.

Christmas in El Campo

Friday after Christmas we loaded up to make our first trip as a family of six to El Campo. I have to say that we were pretty loaded down, but somehow we made it all fit in the back of my car and the basket on the hitch.

Christmas in El Campo started off different than we planned. We were all loaded up in the car, kids where in their seats ready to go, when we got a call from Nana that Papo was having some issues with his blood pressure and his heart racing. So they were headed to Houston to the ER and would keep us informed. Since we were already loaded up and not only did we have to still have Christmas with them and Uncle Travis and Aunt Brittany, we also had the Sablatura Christmas on that Saturday.

We had a successful trip down to El Campo. Caiden did really well on the ride down for his first car trip.

Once we got to Nana and Papo's house and unloaded, the kids got their toys out to play and Chris and I took care of some things for Nana and Papo. Nana ended up calling to say that Papo was doing better, but they were going to keep him over night for observation.

Saturday morning, Nana called and said that they would be coming home but not sure what time. So we spent the morning getting things ready to go to the Shafer's house for the Sablatura Christmas.

Around lunch time Nana and Papo made it home and Uncle Travis and Aunt Brittany arrived shortly after.  Once everyone had settled in, we were able to open gift from everyone.

The kids got some really nice stuff to decorate their rooms with and some really cool toys from Uncle Travis and Aunt Brittany.

We are so gratefully that nothing serious was wrong with Papo and they made it back to get to enjoy Christmas with everyone.
