Zach is 18 months!
It is so hard to believe that Zach is already 18 months. I am going to have to start planning a 2nd birthday party soon. He has changed so much in the last 3 months.
Here are some things we are doing.
-He is talking a lot more. We are working everyday on using our words instead of pointing and grunting.
- loves to play outside and take baths.
- can count to three.
-loves to play with Ryan
-is in full terrible 2's swing. I know this is not a big milestone, but it is diffenately part of who he is right now.
-loves to eat. He will eat anything you put in front of him.
At his 18 months check up he was 25lbs. I didn't not get his hieght, but he is in the 90th percentile in height. I love watching him everyday learn new things and grow. It just reminds me he is no longer a baby but becoming a little man. I have to say this is one of my favorite time with him right now. He is very expressional and it melts my heart to watch him grow.
A weekend with Nana
This past weekend Nana came up for a visit while Daddy, Papo and Pawpaw wenting hunting out west. We had such a good time having her here.
Friday, Nana and Papo showed up real early. After the guys left it was off to run so errands. I need to make a grocery shop and to stop at Target to get some boxes to clean out the boys closet. When we got back to the house, I set out to clean out winter clothes to get ready for some new spring clothes. While cleaning out the closet I decided it was time to have another garage sale and started making two piles. I knew some of the clothes I would never use again, if we have another boy next time.
After the closet was cleaned out, we ate some dinner and then Ryan and Nana played some of his games he had gotten for his birthday. After that it was off to bed to get some rest for a busy day of shopping the next day.
Saturday, we woke up and hit the road shopping. Both boys were in need of some spring clothes. After cleaning out the closets and going through Ryan's old clothes we had a list and a plan. It is so nice to shop with a list, because everything is so cute and I want to buy it all. But, I have to remind myself a little at a time. Since, we are planning to have a garage sale in April, I can take some of that money and apply it to some more clothes. Both boys got some really nice clothes. When we got home, we did some trying on and discovered that all the shorts we had bought for both boys were to big. So it was back to the stores to make some exchanges. As of right now Zach wears 18 month pants and 24 month tops and Ryan were 3t pants and 4t tops.
After making our exchanges we head to dinner at the Olive Garden. Since I have started weight watchers I have not eaten there. It was so good and Mom and I split an entree to make the meal not so bad.
Sunday, we hung out at the house in the morning and then after the boys naps we headed out to the park with the guys got back. It was such a pretty day and the park was not crowded at all. The boys had a really good time playing.
After the park, we went to Grandma and Pawpaws house to meet up with the guys. The boys were so excited to see them. Both my boys are guys guys, so to be stuck with women the whole weekend they were excited to see some guys. After we left Grandma and Pawpaws house we headed to Montana Mike's with Nana and Papo, before they headed home.
We had such a nice weekend and can not wait till they can come back next time.

5 Wonderful Years and counting....
On Feb. 18th Chris and I celebrated our 5 year Anniversary. I am so truly blessed that I get to spend everyday with my best friend. These past years have flown by so fast. I never knew so much could happen in a short period of time.
This year we spent our Anniversary in Houston. Over the last couple of years we have been to Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. So we figured it was time to hit up Houston. We had such a wonderful weekend kidless. We have need that weekend for a while, to just reconnect and escape the life of grown-ups.
On Friday, our actuall anniversary, we had dinner at the Spindletop. The food was excellent. I wish I could say the veiw was, but that evening sea fog rolled in and we could not see anything. After dinner, we went back to the hotel and had a piece of cake that was a replica of our wedding cake.
Saturday, we slept in and then spent the day shopping and hanging out. We then went to dinner at a pizza place Chris used to go to when he work in the cypress area. I was really yummy and then we traveled out to Bush airport to watch the airplanes. When we were dating we use to do that a lot at the airport in College Station. After the airport, we went back to the hotel and then met up with the Porter's. We all went to see a really good movie at the theaters. We have not done that in ages.
Sunday, we go up and checked out. We then went to have breakfast at a good Mexican place and then met up with the Crowley's for some Starbucks. After that, it was time to go pick up the munchkins.
We had such a wonderful weekend and it was so nice to meet up with some good friends.
Here are some pics of the cake and of us from the past year.

Let's Rodeo!!!!
Wow!! What a busy week we are having and we are only half way through it. Yesterday evening we took Ryan to the San Antonio rodeo to see the bull riding and Mommy got to see Miranda Lambert.
Every since we took Ryan last year to the Rodeo for the day, he has been asking to go back. Last year we just walked around the grounds, didn't even go to the rodeo part, but he had be asking all year to go see the bulls. He is such a boy. He loves everything boy. So, in order to please him and Mommy we decided to take him to the rodeo the night Miranda Lambert performed.
We had such a great time and it was nice to get to do something just the three of us. Maybe next year we will take Zach.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
What a busy Valentine's Day we had. We had 3 doctor appointments on Monday. We started our day with the special cinnamon rolls. The boys really enjoyed them, especially because they were getting chocolate for breakfast. We spent most of our day down in San Antonio and because 2 of our appointments were by Chris' grandparents house we got to enjoy the afternoon with them. The boys love going to there house. Grandpa Billy use to work the FAA, so him and Ryan spend most of the time on the computer watching airplanes or looking at books with airplanes in them.
That evening Chris made us a nice special dinner. He was even considerate enough to look for a healthy recipe and figure the Weight Watcher point for me. We waited for the kids to go to bed so we could actually enjoy an adult conversation at meal time.
Here are some pics of the boys enjoying there breakfast.
Oh so Yummy...
if makes your mouth water!!! This deserves its own post.
I have been on a baking and cooking kick lately and came across a recipe for Chocolate cinnamon rolls. So I decided I would make these for our Valentine's Day breakfast. I made them the day before, because of our busy schedule Valentine's Day. They were so yummy!!! I will definitely make these again for special occasions.
Getting ready for Valentine's
This year Valentine's Day snuck up on us. With Zach being in the hospital and then a second set of tubes, I did not have time to decorate the house or anything for Valentine's Day. We usually don't make a big fuss on Valentine's Day, because Chris and my Annivarsary is 4 days after, but with the kids getting bigger I think I am going to have to start.
So this year, I decided to do a Valentine's craft for Ryan. He love to cut and glue so I decided to cut out red, pink and purple colors out of old magazines and let him glue the pieces to the paper. After it dried we cut it into a heart shape. I asked him if he wanted to give it to anyone and he said his dad. So we made it for daddy and saved it till Valentine's Day.

What a Little Monkey
Our little Monkey is growing up so fast. He is talking more and more every day. One word that he has prefected is "bite." When he is hungery he will tell you, "bite, bite, bite." He is so cute and when he says it reminds me of the birds on Finding Nemo.
Well, what does that have to do with this post. I will tell you....the other day I caught him trying to climb into his chair while saying, "bite." Zach has always been a good eater, but now he wants to eat all the time and everytime he is hungery I catch him trying to climb up into his chair. I have to say I found it very cute, but it also scares me to death that he is going fall and hurt himself. So now, I have to make sure to put the tray back on right away so he can not climb up. It is so hard to believe is going to be 18 months soon. Where did the time go.

Camping in the House
The other day Ryan wanted to build a tent, so I got the idea to get one of our tents out and set it up in the living room. He had such a blast playing in it. Him and daddy set it up and then put down a sleeping bag. They had so much fun playing in it and Ryan even fell a sleep there.
I can not wait for when he starts boy scout and him and his daddy can go on a real camping trip.
