Zach is 4 months

Wow, it is so hard to beleive that Zach is already 4 months old. We had a busy month last month. We started on cereal, which we loved. Zach is growing boy, at the beginning of 3 months he weighted 16 pounds. That is what Ryan weighted at 4 months. Zach became very more vocal and loves to be talked too. He could hold his head up at 90 degress, but he still does not like tummy time. He is growing up so fast. On the day we turned 4 months, Zach rolled over from his tummy to his back. Though the little stinker will not do it when we are watching, so we have yet to see him. We just know he does it because we will put him on his tummy and then come back a minute later and he is on his back. We also started on baby food. He is such a good eater. Ryan was so picky, but Zach jsut woofs it down no problem. I have posted some pics from the last months, so you can see how much he has grown and changed. Hanging out in the swing Taking a bath. A Surprise Trip to EC

So we where not suppose to go to El Campo this year, because it was our year to be with Chris' family and Chris had to work the next day, that is why Nana and Papo and Uncle Travis came to our house. But after assessing the damage from Christmas and realizing it was not all that bad, the boys and I packed up and made a quick trip to EC and are so glad we did. It was nice to get to spend time with all my aunts and uncles and to see my grandma, granny to the boys. Ryan got some really nice things from Uncle Andy and Zach got some money for clothes. Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The boys must have been really good this year. Cause after everything from Christmas Eve, Santa still came and brought more presents. This was the first year that Ry got to put out milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. Both the boys got lots of neat things. Ry has been asking for a bicycle and we kept telling him he needed to ask Santa. Well Santa must have been listening, because when we woke up Christmas morning there it was. He was so excited. Opening present was fun this year because Ryan actually knew what was going on. He even helped open Zach's, he is such a good big brother. Zach also got some new toys. The best one for Zach was a new floor mat, because his other one from Ryan had ripped. I had a hard time picking out which pictures to post, because there are so many. Christmas Eve

Nana, Papo and Uncle Travis came to New Braunfels this year for Christmas. It was really nice of them to do that that way we could then go to Chris' family on Christmas Day. We went to Church as a Family Christmas Eve at 5 o'clock, came home and ate dinner and then opened presents from Nana, Papo and Uncle Travis. Here are some pics from Christmas Eve. Past few Weeks

Ok. I know it has been a while since I have been on, but life with 2 kids and the holidays keeps me busy. Last tuesday we had Chris work Christmas party and the boys got to see santa. I was so proud that Ry did not cry or freak out. He would not talk to him, but daddy helped him tell santa what he wanted. Also last week Christina, Kiefer and Taryn came over and we did some Christmas baking. It was so nice to have help, it a was really fun. Thanks Christina! Then on Friday my cousin Avery graduated from Texas State and will be off to Disney World to do an intership in fashion design. Everyone came up for it and it was nice to get to see them since we won't be in EC for Christmas this year. After graduation, Nana and Papo took Ry back to EC for the weekend so Chris and I could get some alone time and finish Christmas shopping. We still had Zach with us but he is so easy. Today, Zach and I spent the whole day wrapping gifts and I am still not done. At about 5 we had to go to Luling to meet Ry, Nana, and Papo. Then we went to Grandma and Pawpaw's to feed Zach and let Ry play and then came home to bed. Chrismas is this week and we will be busy but I will try really hard to post pics right after Christmas. Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Recent events

We got back to New Braunfels Sunday night from El Campo. Before we left we took Ry to see the Holiday Express train and Santa Claus. I have to say I was very impressed that he did not cry. When we got home things just went down hill. Pulling in the drive way we noticed that the septic light was on. Thankfully it was just the high water alarm and nothing else. After that, I walked in to the house and heard the toilet running. We had been gone since Thursday evening, so there is no telling how long it had been running and because it was running the well was empty. This all happened at 10 o'clock that night. Thankfully though Chris' work uniform was clean so the well could refill over night. Then Monday morning Chris' got to work and realized that his deer riffle was missing and today realized his computer was gone. While we were gone to EC someone had broken in to his truck here at the house and stole them. It really sucks, cause it is Christmas time and wasn't really planning on this. But, I guess who does. On a lighter note. I took the boys yesterday to take Christmas pictures. They turned out really cute, despite the boys acting up. I will never do that again by myself. Let it Snow!!!

While in EC, it snowed! I was so excited that it snowed and stuck to the ground. This is the first time it has snowed since the boys have been born. Thankful Ryan was old enough to get to go play in it and help daddy build a snowman. I took lots of pictures to capture this memory for him, cause who knows when it will snow again in Texas. Unfortunatly, Zach did not get to go out and get his picture taken. But we will let him know when he gets older that he was just a baby when it happened.

El Campo Christmas Parade

Went to EC this weekend for Christmas Train and breakfast with Santa. So we decided to make it just a Christmas filled weekend and came in early Thursday for the Christmas parade. I have never gotten to actually watch the parade because I have always been in it, whether on the dancing float, marching in the band or riding the fire truck. It was nice take Ryan so he could see all the lights, tractors and fire trucks. Here are some pics from the parade. Nana and Ryan Ryan eating a sucker.

2 year check-up

Ryan had his 2 year check up yesterday. He is 28 pounds and 34.9 inches tall. The doctor was very impressed by how much he talks and can put words into sentences. He only had to get one shot, because they did not have it back when he was 15 months. While we were there I put Zach on the scale to see how much he had gained in a month and he gained another 2 pounds, making my little tubby weight 16 pounds. I hope this next month he will stretch out instead of gaining another 2 pounds. After the doctors office I took the boys over to a gymnastics place for playnastics where Ryan could run and jump around. It was perfect for a cold and rainy day for him to get some of that energy out. I forgot my camera so I don't have any pics, but I will remember it for next time.

Aggies vs. Longhorns

Chris and I were very lucky to get to go to this game. Tim, Chris' brother, called the night before the game with 2 free tickets. So we called Nana and Papo to babysit, packed up Thanksgiving morning and drove to El Campo to drop the boys off, and then headed to College Station. It was an awesome game even though we lost the game, we always win at half time. Here is a pic of Nana and the boys at home watching the game.

Ryan is 2

Wow, where did the time go. I can't believe that Ryan is already 2. This past year has been a busy year. With a new baby on the way, we tried to spend as much time as possible doing special things with Ryan. We have enjoyed watching him grow into such a little boy this year. His vocabulary just amazes me. This past year we accomplished some goals and some we are still working on. At 18 months we moved from a crib to a toddler bed. He was so excited. He likes to be treated as a big boy. I had feared that by putting him in a toddler bed, he would think that he could come to our bed. But he didn't and would sleep there all night. He even would stay in his bed till I came in there in the morning. About 3 months before Zach arrived he move from the converted crib toddler bed to a Thomas the Train toddler bed. He loved it so much. We started to work on potty training, but he just doesn't want anything to do with it. He has the concept down and knows what to do. He just doesn't want to do it.
