Comal County Fair and Parade

This past week was the Comal Country fair and parade. Wednesday after Chris got off work we head to the fair to meet up with friends and enjoy the festivities. The kids had a great time eating the fair food, riding rides and playing games. Since MaKinley is to little to ride the rides the boys played a game and won her a stuffed animal. The boys really enjoyed the big fun slide and rode it at least 5 or more times.

On Friday, which was Fair day so no school for Ryan, we got up and headed into town to meet with friends again and watch the parade!!! The kids really enjoyed running around with friends and then watching the parade. I love the parade, but it is all ways so long. We stuck around till lunch time and then headed home.

Comal County Parade and Fair

This past Friday Comal County had their annual Parade and Fair Day!!! We met up with the Wence to watch the parade. The kids had so much fun and were really excited to see their Daddy in the parade with the fire truck. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures of Daddy. I was busy getting Zach to see him. The kids behaved really well. We left before the parade was over to avoid traffic and to get to the fair before the crowd got there. The kids had so much fun looking at the animals and riding the rides.

I have to say we had a pretty successful morning. By the time we left it was lunch and nap time and all the kids were wore out.

WCYF 2011!!!

Every year we try and make down to El Campo to go to the county fair. I grew up going and wanted my boys to have the same experience. There is not a whole lot to it as far as exhibits for kids, but the boys loved the petting zoo, the tractors, looking at the animals and of course the carnival. We were lucky to have daddy join up for the first time this year. I have been taking Ryan since he was 1 and every time we go Chris has always had to work. So, it was nice to have him with us.

The boys loved the carnival. This was Zach's first time to ride the rides. He only rode the helicopters once, but I think he enjoyed it. Ryan on the other hand, is just like his daddy and rode lots of rides. I am not a roller coaster person, but Chis is and so is Ryan. He rode the little kid roller coaster and when he was done he wanted to ride the Spider looking one, but was not big enough. So after the roller coaster we headed to the spinning apples. While waiting in line Uncle Travis and Brittany surprised us by showing up. We knew that Uncle Travis was coming in, but thought not until later and were told that Brittany had to stay behind to study for finals. So we were so glad to see her. So Chris, Ryan, Uncle Travis and Brittany all rode the apple ride and then after that Ryan convinced Uncle Travis and Brittany to ride the barn ride. After all those rides we had enough for one more ride, so Ryan choose the car one. He loved it.

After all the rides, funnel cake and animals we had a successful trip at the fair and can not wait for next year.
