Happy Birthday to my little Brother!!! We love you so much!!!
This past weekend Nana, Papo, Uncle Travis and Brittany came up to visit and go to Schiltterbaun for Uncle Travis' birthday. We had so much fun.
I usually have a rule that you have to be at least 2 before going to Schiltterbaun, but since everyone was going I thought we would give it a try with Zach. I now know why I set the age limit. Don't get me wrong he was good, but he took two naps and only wanted to slide. We did take him on a tube ride and he cried the whole time. But all in all, we had a great time and really enjoyed getting the help Uncle Travis celebrate his birthday.
On Sunday, Travis and Brittany headed back early and Nana and Papo stuck around to play with the boys and have lunch. We had a nice afternoon just relaxing and playing.
Sorry, I don't have any pics. I didn't take my camera to Schiltterbaun and also the battery is dead.

New Workbox!!!
With the school year just around the corner, I finally got Ryan's work box cart in. I have been waiting to order it for some time and I am so glad it is finally here and in use. It has made organizing what he needs to do for the day so much easier. He even likes it cause he now knows what he has to do for the day.
Here is a picture of what it looks like and some of Ryan putting it to use.

Here is some of Zach enjoying reading a book in our new reading corner. We did some rearranging in the house and I just love this corner now. It will also be our circle time corner when school starts.

Tejas Rodeo
This past Saturday the boys and I were invited by the Gibbon's to go to the Tejas Rodeo in Bulverde. Chris was working so he was not able to go, which was a bummer. They have a rodeo and then a dance afterwards.
The boys had so much fun. During the rodeo they have a little calf scramble that Ryan and Tyler participated in. Even though they did not get a calf, they had a lot of fun chasing it. After the rodeo, we grabbed a snack then went out to do some dancing. It was so cute watching them try to dance. I was very surprised at how well the boys behaved. I am always a little on edge when I take them out by myself.
We will definitely be going back and taking Daddy with us!!!

Not Much Going On Here
The title says it all. We really have not been up to much. We are just trying to stay cool. We have been spending lots of our days inside because of the heat. This has been difficult for everyone. The boys get bored and I keep running out of ideas to keep them busy. We are doing some school stuff, but I am not putting a lot of focus on it.
So I will leave you with some pics of the boys.
Brotherly love!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!
Monday morning, my parents surprised us and showed up at 7:30 in the morning with donuts and tacos. They were suppose to come up on Saturday and stay the whole weekend to help celebrate my birthday. But because of our A/C trouble and then some things that came up with them they were not going to be able to make it. So I was very happy to see them.
Chris had to work again during the day on the river. So the boys, Nana, Papo and I loaded up and went down to San Marcos to WonderWorld. I have been wanting to take the boys for some time to see the animals there. They had such a blast riding the train through the tunnel and seeing all the different animals. We had bought some deer food and were very lucky to have the deer come and eat out of our hands. (The deer would not come and eat from the group before us.) After feeding the animals we headed to a nice picnic area they had there and enjoyed a nice lunch. The boys really enjoy picnics and are always wanting to have them. And it was a special treat to have Nana and Papo with us.
After our picnic, we head to the outlets so I could grab some pj's for Ryan. He is slowly starting to out grow his other ones. Then we headed to down to River Road to check out how low the river really is and to visit with Chris for a while. It was really nice to see him and the boys had a blast checking out the ambulance as they always do. No matter how many times they see it, it never gets old. Once we left Chris we continued down River road looking for rentals and then made our way back to the house to visit for a while before Nana and Papo had to head home. We had such a good time with them and were so glad they came.
Once they were gone, we decided to go have dinner down at the marina. Since, I had nothing planned for dinner and I did not really feel like cooking. I did go ahead and feed the boys hot dog since Chris did not get off till 7 and that was way past their dinner time. We had a really nice dinner and them came home to watch the fireworks on TV, since they had been banned in Comal County, due to lack of rain.

Number review with a holiday kick
After cleaning up our cookie mess and lunch and naps, I had Ryan do some school time. We have not really done any since the end of May and I did not want him to forget to much. I had found some 4th of July theme printable's and had him work on them. I have to say I was very surprised by him. Since, we stopped doing school time, he has learned to count to 30 and we are working on getting to 40. Some of the number cards he had had numbers 11-20 and I was impressed that he recognized those numbers and got the answers right. He really enjoyed working on this stuff, so I think I will have to continue with the review time and maybe start working on some letter.
I have found a lot of really cute summer theme printable for him to do and also can reuse them during the school year with certain letters, so be looking for some new school post.

While Ryan was doing his work Zach wanted to do some too. I was excited, cause now I could put his new chair for school time to use. I printed him out a 4th of July coloring page and gave him the color red. He was very into coloring, but he did get a little carried away and colored my desk. Thank goodness for washable colors.
A cookie attempt
On Sunday, the kids and I hung out at the house all day. Chris had to work and with being gone the past couple of nights and running errands all week, it was nice to just hang out. Since Monday was the 4th of July, I thought we would make some flag and star cookies and decorate them. Ryan had such a good time helping, but the dough did not turn out and was too soft. So after about the third batch of trying to roll out and cut out we quite.
Ry still had fun and it was a good bonding time for us. He really love to help in the kitchen, we just have to continue to work on his listening skills. He like to be very independent.

Riverwalk and Dinner
After our A/C was fixed and because all our other plans had fallen through, we decide to go down to the Riverwalk for dinner and take the boys to see Cars 2. We went and ate at the Hard Rock Cafe and the boys really enjoyed it. It was been so long since Chris or I had been there. Our movie time was 7, but since dinner ran over we figured we would walk around and hang out and try to make the 9:40 showing.
So we walked the street and went to see the Alamo. Again, it has been forever. The Alamo itself was closed, but we were able to get some pictures in front of it. After the Alamo we headed back to the mall for dessert and the Disney store. The boys each got a stuff toy. Zach a Mickey Mouse and Ryan "Finn" from Cars 2. After this, we played at the inside playground. By the time we were done playing both boys were so tired that we decided to skip the movie. So after getting our refund on the tickets, we headed home with to tired little boys.
It was such an nice evening. I also forget about the fun things we have right around us when it comes to having a nice evening out.
