Hanging out with Uncle Bryan

The past two weeks have been very busy. Since Uncle Bryan has been home we have been spending lots of time with him. We have been to Fort Sam, where Uncle Bryan bought Ryan a remote control helicopter, we went back to Lackland to show Uncle Bryan the airplanes, we had dinner with him and his family, and did lots of just hanging out.

We were so glad to get to spend so much time with him and can not wait for him to be home for good for a while at the end of May.

6 year Anniversary

I can not believe that it has been 6 years since, I married my best friend. This past year has been a tough one with lots of changes, but I would not have wanted to have anyone else by my side.

Thanks to Chris' wonderful sister and brother-in-law we had a whole weekend to ourselves. Friday night we went to eat at our favorite sushi restaurant and then came home and went to bed. I am not kidding we were both a sleep by 10:00 pm.

Saturday, we slept in and then decided to head to Austin to go do a little shopping. First though, we stopped for breakfast in Wimberly. It was so yummy. Once in Austin, we head to Barton Creek Mall, did a little shopping and then headed to the movies to see The Vow. After the movies, we walked around Central Market and then head out to dinner again. For dinner we had Thai food. I have never had it and wanted to try it. We both shared some pad Thai. It was pretty good. Then we headed back to New Braunfels and just hung out at home relaxing.

I have to say that this was by far the best weekend ever. Not having any plans and just going with the flow.

Happy Anniversary Babe!!!! I love you.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Yesterday was Valentine's Day. The boys woke up to find Valentine boxes that I had made for them filled with all kinds of goodies. They were so excited to open them and check them out.

Our Valentine's was quite busy. Both boys had dentist appointments. They both got a good report and we go back again in 6 months. After their appointment we head over to the Rim to have lunch a Maggiano's a nice Italian place. The boys behaved very well and we had a nice lunch. After lunch we went to Bass Pro Shop and walked around looking at all the stuff inside.

After walking around we decided it was time to make our way back so Ryan could attend his make up swim lesson, since he missed the day before waiting for Uncle Bryan to arrive. While on our way back we spotted a C5 flying around, so we drove out to Lackland Air force Base and watched them do touch and go's. While watching them we also got to watch some F-16's take off. Ryan thought they were so cool and Zach slept through the whole thing. Which is funny because they are so loud.

Soon, it was time to leave and head over to Ryan's swim lessons. I have to say all in all we had a very good Valentine's Day.

Welcome Home Uncle Bryan!!!

Monday, we got to welcome Uncle Bryan home for his two week vacation from Afghanistan. His flight was suppose to come in from Dallas around 1o'clock. So I went and picked the boys up early from school so we could get to the airport on time.

Once we got to the airport and met up with Mrs. Penni, Bryan's mom, we were told that his plane had broke down and his flight was delayed. Then they ended up cancelling his flight all together. Bryan called and said they were trying to get him on one of the other flight that we to come in. They had a flight coming in about every hour. Well, he ended up not arriving in San Antonio till about 5 o'clock. We were so glad to see him and he was so surprised to see us. He had no idea that we were even there.

I have to say for spending all afternoon at the airport the boys behaved very well. Between walking around and watching movies on the iPad and Zach even taking a nap. They were very good.

Let's Rodeo San Antonio!!!

This past weekend my parents came up to visit. It was so nice to see them and for them to come up here. On Saturday, we headed out to the San Antonio Rodeo to let be boys see all the animals.

Last year, we had taken Ryan to the actually Rodeo. So he remembered what it was all about.

We all had such a great time. We walked around and did the HEB Farm and the petting zoo. Then we had to go hunt down a rope, because Ryan remembered last watching the calf roping and he wanted a rope so he could be a calf roper too.

It was so nice to get to enjoy the rodeo and make memories that will last forever.
