Growing Up so Fast
Ryan started Mother's Day Out on Monday. To him it is school, which makes him feel like a big boy. He was so excited. He has been asking when he can go to school ever since we went to look at it back in April. Every time we drive by he gets so excited and says,"there's my school." He did so good Monday morning. He got up early and ate his oatmeal. His favorite. Then he got dressed and we made his lunch. On our way to school it started to set in that Zach and Mommy were not staying and that got me a little nervous. When we walked in the door, he went right to playing and didn't look back. I was so relieved.
While Ry was at school, Zach and I set out to do some birthday shopping for Zach party on Saturday. We did some shopping and stopped by Auntie's house to play with Jacob and visit. Before I knew it it was time to go get Ryan.
When we got there, he was still sleeping. But quickly woke up and was glad to see us. After school we went by Grandma and Pawpaw's shop to tell them about our day and get a snack. Then we were headed home.
He had a very good day and I am porud to say Wednesday went just as well.

A little back porch
We have finally decided it was time to build some kind of porch off our back door. We have been talking about it for about a year or so now, but have never done anything with it. So last Friday we decided that it was time. So after doing some measuring it was off to Lowes. When we returned it was time to level out the rocks. When we first bought the house we had put down some road base to cover the huge rocks that were out the back door. Chris started loosening it up by hand, but soon realized it was a lot more work than he antisipated, so him and Ry were off to get a little excavator. When the returned the real work began. We had made some progress, but after being in the heat all day we called it a day. Chris worked all weekend, so we picked up Monday morning. It went a lot better with starting fresh on a new day. By the end of the day the porch was complete with being short only 2 boards.
I am so glad to have a little porch! Now we can use our back door and not track a bunch of rocks and dirt in the house.
Zach's First Haircut
We took Zach to get his first hair cut today! His hair was getting to a point where I was having to wash it or wet it down twice a day just to keep it under control. He did so good. He sat there and didn't move around much. When Ry got his first hair cut, you could not get him to sit still for very long at all. Here are some pics of before, during and after.

Dentist and Dinosaurs
On Tuesday Ry had a dentist appt. in San Antonio. He did absolutly wonderful. I was very impressed with him compared to the way he was the first time. The first time he went he did everything he could to get out of that chair. This time he laid back and did as they asked him and he didn't even scream. I guess my little man is growing up.
While we were at the dentist Zach and Daddy were at Grandpa Billy and Grandma Witch's house. They had a fun time visiting. Grandpa Billy gave Daddy a radio that picks up air traffic. Since both Ryan and Daddy are into airplane this was right up there alley. After leaving their house we went and sat at the airport like we always do when we are down there and watched the airplanes land and take off. Ryan loves it and Daddy thought it was cool to here them communicating with the tower.
After the airport we headed down to the Riverwalk for some dinner and dinosaurs. I had heard about the dinosaur exhibit and wanted to take the boys, but could never find the time to get down there. So I figured we would use it as a little bribe for the dentist. That might just be the reason he was so good! Ryan thought it was neat, but wasn't to sure about the T-Rex room, because it was a little to loud for him. After the dinosaurs we went down and walked the Riverwalk and ate dinner. After dinner we walked around some more to walk off all our food. All in all it was a good family day.
