Vacation

We just got back from a week long vacation to South Parde Island with the Gibbon's Family. We had a blast. We left the house Monday morning about 7 to meet up with them and get on the road by 9. I have to say for a six hour car ride with out the dvd player it went very smoothly and fast. We arrived to the condo about 3:30 that afternoon. Afte unloading the cars we put on our swimsuits packed a little cooler and headed to the beach for an hour or so. The water and weather were amazing. It so different than Port A or Matagorda. On Tuesday, it was beach day. That morning the guys went to the beach to set up the tent and stuff before we brought the kids down. Everyone else headed to the beach around 10:30 while I hung back till Zack woke up from his nap and then we went and joined them. The kids had a blast and loved the water. Zach played in the water and then would hang out in his pop a tot in the shade. He went back and forth all day doing that. Ryan just played and ate. Which is typical Ry. He loved the sand. Daddy and him even built a sandcastle that Ry totally destroyed afterwards, but hey that is all part of the fun. After spending the day on the beach, we went back to rinse off and swim in th pool. Then it was time for dinner and bed. The adults decided that while we were down there we would take turns on going out one night each for some adult time and to explore the island after the kids were in bed. So on Tuesday night Tim and Tiffany went out and Chris and I hung back with the kiddos. On Wednesday, the guys took Ryan and Tyler on a Pirate ship crusie. They all had a blast. While the boys were gone Tiffany, I, and the younger ones stayed back at the condo for some relaxation and naps. After nap we drove over the cause way to mee the boys to do a little site seeing and to eat an early dinner. After dinner the boys were so tired we decided to head back. Once we got back to the island we drove around for a bit cause both Ry and Zachy fell asleep in the car. After they woke up we went and got Ry and Zach a each a hermit carb. They are so cute with there painted shells. When we got back it was time to get the kids ready for bed, so us adults could enjoy an evening of drinks and games. Thursday, was Turtle day!! In South Padre, they have a sea turtle rescue place. Ry and Tyler are in to turtles so we took them to see the big turltes. It was amazing to see them up close. They were do big and we were told they get even bigger. After the turtles we went back to the condo for lunch, naps and to get ready for our last day at the beach. After the kids woke up we headed to the beach for our last afternoon on the beach. We spent the longest time on the beach this day trying to get it all in. While on the beach, Zach got tired so I decided to take him back and put him down for a nap. When I went to look for the condo key it was not in the bag were I put it. I went into total panic mode. We were on the beach and no key. Oh and we left all our cell phones in the condo. Thankfully, a maintaince guy at the hotle down for the condo had a phone and we were able to contact the property manager and he brought us another key. So after getting the new key, I was able to take both the boys back to the condo for showers and naps. When everyone else came back, they informed me they had found the key. I was so relieved. After showering and started to kind of pack up our stuff, we had dinner and then put the boys to bed. After the kids were in bed, Chris and I went on our date night. We went ate some shrimp at Amberjacks and then went for a walk on the beach. It was really nice on the beach and the full moon was out too. The only thing that kindof put a damper on things was the mesquitos. But it was still really nice. Friday, was suppose to be a head home day with a stop at the Lexington in Corpus. We had to be out of the condo by 10 o'clock in the morning. So it was an early morning to get everything packed and loaded up by 10, but we did it. We arrived in Corpus about 2:30, made a quick pit stop at Wal-Mart and then headed to the Lexington. Ry had a blast looking at all the airplanes and stuff. He even got to see the Blue Angel up close. The Blue Angel is his favorite airplane. We were even able to find a toy replica at the gift shop for him. After the Lexington, we said goodbye to the Gibbons Family and went to go see Uncle Travis' new house. It was really nice and while the day started to wear down we decided to stay in Corpus with Uncle Travis. The only problem was he had no electricity. So after spending an hour finding a hotel room we were all tucked in bed by 10:30 that night. Saturday, we woke up took our time getting ready since we didn't have to check out till noon. After getting ready and checking out we went an ate breakfast at Ihop and then meet with Unclel Travis to go see Toy Story 3. Ryan loved the movie. I have to admit though, I cried at the end. I am not quite sure why, but I did. After the movie we went to Uncle Travis house to pick up some of our stuff and headed home. This was the best week ever, but it went by way to fast. Here is the link to all the pics from vacation. I was having a hard time picking out picks, so I decided to put them up this way.

The Bolcik Family

Here are some pics of Papo and his brothers. They have not all been together in a really long time. And while it was a sad occasion that brought them together it was really nice getting to visit and see them together again. Hopefully we will all do it again real soon.

Tractors, Tractors, and More Tractors!!

Ryan loves tractors. So while we were in town for my great uncles funeral we took Ryan by Shoppa's to see the tractors. He had a blast and even knew them by name. Here are some pics for you to enjoy of our little farmer.

Miranda Lambert Concert!!!

This past weekend I got to go to see Miranda Lambert! She put on such a good show. I went with my friend Tiffany for sort of a Mommy night out. Originally Chris and I were going to go together, but then decided we should save our money for vacation. But then a few days later I got invited by Tiffany to go for a night out. By that time Chris had picked up an overtime shift and couldn't go, but said that I could. What an awesome hubby he is. So after convincing Tiffany's husband to watch all four kids for an hour or so till Chris got off, we were set to go. After getting there, the concert became sold out and Chris end up working the concert. So I guess in a way he got to go too. But, poor Tim he was stuck home alone with the kids. Thankfully the two babies were put to bed before we left to really he only had to watch the 2 older ones. Still I knew it must have stunk for him to be home while the rest of us were out. Thanks Tim. Here are some pics of the concert. She put on an awesome show, I can't wait to go to another one.

Zach 9 months!

Zach is 9 months old today. He is such a good baby. The past month he got to experience the swimming pool for the first time. He is just like Ry when it come to the water, he can't get enough. Here are somethings that he is doing now: - waves bye-bye - eats #3 foods and regular foods - says, "mama" - scoots backwards - can hold his own sippy cup At his 9 months checkup he weighed 21 pounds and was 29 inches long. The dr. said it was time to give up the walker and spend more time on the floor. So I guess we will see how that goes, being he loves the walker cause he can get everywhere. Here are some pics for the last month.

Memorial Weekend

For Memorial Weekend the boys and I went with my parents to Dallas to see my dad's oldest brother. I have never made that long of a car ride with the boys, so I was very nervous, espeiacially, because we were with Papo. He is an awesome dad and papo, he just sometimes can get a little flustered. Anyway, the ride went perfect. We left El Campo, right around Zach's nap time and that seemed to work great. We made about three stops along the way to stretch, eat lunch and potty. We made it to Dallas about 3 o'clock. We went to check in at the hotel and unload and then it was off to Uncle Emil's house. We spent Saturday at Uncle Emil's as well and the Sunday we went to the Pisarik's house, my mom's oldest sister, in Plano. When we left the Pisarik's I had promised Ry that we would go see the airplanes at the airport. So we drove to Love Field. There is a park right off the runway, where the planes land and take off right over you. Ry loved it. He loved it so much that we ended up back of there on Monday morning for a little bit, where he got to fed the ducks and watch somemore airplanes. Then is was time to head back to El Campo.
We had such a nice time visiting with everyone. Here are some pics from the weekend.
