Zach is 8 months!!!

It is so hard to believe that Zach is already 8 months old. Before you know we will be planning his 1st birthday party. He has grown so much of the past month. It was an interesting month for him. He had his first surgery, sat up without support, went to his first wedding, and learned how to roll over from his back to his belly. He loves his big brother so much. Anytime we put him in his walker he is chasing down his brother. Ry on the other hand does not like it. It is already beginning, the leave me alone and no Zach. I just hope they will find some common ground and be best buds. Here are some pics of Zach from the past month. He just keeps getting cuter and his personality is coming through more and more.

Jordan Wedding

Congrats Amy and Lee. This past weekend Amy took the plung and joined the rest of us in the married world. We are so happy for them and had an awesome time at the wedding. This was the first wedding that Ry was old enough to have fun at. We had a babysitter lined up so Chris and I could enjoy the dance and party with old friends. But as the night went on, it was more fun to watch Ry play with all the other kids and dance, so they stayed. It was so crazy to our kids play together. I found it like life was making a complete circle. Even though, we all have our own lifes and our own stuff going on we can still get together and watch our kids play and enjoy each other company. Amy looked absoultely amazing. And Lee we welcome you to the crazy life of us El Campo Girls. If you ever need pointers about us girls, just ask one of the guys they can let you in on all the secrets. We are so happy for them. And can not wait for a little Jordan to come and join the group. Weekend in EC!

Last week we went to El Campo for Amy and Lee's wedding. The boys and I left on Wednesday to go help decorate and Chris came up on Friday. While we were there the boys got to play outside at Nana and Papo's. It was a beautiful weekend. Also while we were there Ryan went to daycare for the first time on Thrusday. I felt like he would be so bored helping decorate so I call a lady who lives down the road from Nana and Papo to see if she had room for him and she did. He had a blast. When I went to pick him up, he did not want to leave. I had to pick up and carry him out. It was kind of cute and sad at the same time. I thought he would have missed me, being I have never left with a sitter he didn't know. But at the same time it was nice to know he had a good time. Here are some pics from Nana and Papo's house.

Tubes for Zach

Zach had tubes put in this morning. After 2 months of fighting ear infections, our pediatrician sent us to an ENT. The outcome of that appt. was that tubes would be the best thing for Zach. They did several test. One to check if sound waves were moving through. It came back with a flat line, meaning that there was fluid back behind the ear drum. The other test was the newborn hearing screen, which he did not pass at all. The auditory specialist said that it was to be expected since there was lots of fluid. So, then we talk to the dr. and he recommended tubes. And I was all for it. After many months of Dr. appts. and antibotics, I just wanted him better and well. So I asked to do it as soon as possible so we didn't have to do another round of medicine. So he said we could schedule it for tomorrow, which is today. This morning, we got up at 5:30, we had to be there at 6:30. We took Ry to Grandma and Pawpaw's and then headed to the surgical center. After we arrived and filled out paper work, we only had to wait about 10 mins till they called us back. After we went back, we signed some more paper work and then met the dr. and nurses. From what was explained it was go to be quick and easy. No IV's or anything. Just a little laughing gas with the anisthesia. While waiting for them to go and get him, he fell a sleep. I think this made it easier for me to leave him, because he wasn't scared and probably had no idea what and even happened. The procedure took about 30 mins. And after he woke up they came and got up. He was crying, but I was prepared with a bottle. And after that all was good. We have been home for a couple of hours now and he is happy as a clam. He is a little off schedule, but nothing that can't be fixed in a day or two.

Sitting up without support

YAY!!! Zach finally sat up without support. It is so hard getting use to everything happening a little later than Ry. Ry was such an over achiever and Zach is just go with the flow, I will do it on my own time. Here are some pics of Zach and Taryn playing. Theses are the first few pics on him sitting without support.

Doctors, Doctors, and more Doctors!!

So let me catch yall up. For the past 2 month we have been battling ear infections in this house. Zach has had a consistent ear infection for since he was 5 and 1/2 months. Whether it is one ear or both ears we have been going back and forth. Last week, we went for an other ear check up after our 3rd round of antibotics and they still had fluid on them and were inflamed. So we did a round of shots three days in a row and were schedule to come back in 3 weeks. But just a week after shots his ears were inflamed again. So we are now going to see an ENT next Thrusday to get tubes put in. I am hoping this will make a differnece and we will get to sitting up and crawling. I know lots of people are worried about the tubes, but I see it as his ears are effecting his balance and in turn are probably the reason we have not mastered these still yet. I will keep you posted on how the ENT visit goes next week. Ryan, also has been battling the ear infections. He was but on antibotice about 2 weeks ago. When we were at the dr for Zach's ears, we had them checked and they looked to be getting better. But after finishing the medicine and then going for his checkup this past Wednesday, they had yellow and green gunk in them again. This time caused by a sinus infection. So he is now back on antibotics. Allergeies have been killing this Family and I can not wait for the Oak pollen to be gone so we can get well again. I love our the kids dr., but we have seen him way to much lately and I think we need a break from each other. So please pray that the allergies go way and the tubes help Zach.

Easter Festivities

We had a very fun and relaxing Easter. Friday was Family day. We went and ate lunch at our favorite sushi place. After that we went and got some mulch and went home to finish the flower beds. That evening Ry was being a little difficult so Chris told him that if he went to bed without a fuss maybe the Easter bunny would come and leave hima surprise in the morning. And he did. We put him in his bed and never heard another peep. On Saturday, we woke and went looking for Easter baskets. Zach found his by the carport door and Ry's was left by the front door. They were both loaded with goodies. After looking through their baskets we went outside and did more yard work and then got ready to go to a big 2000 Easter Egg Hunt at a Strawberry Farm. On our way, we stopped and picked up Uncle Tim to go with us. The boys had a blast. They had bunnies and baby chicks to hold. Ry loved them, but he was more interested in the big green tractor they had then anything else. After the Egg hunt we went had lunch at Buffalo Wings and Rings with Uncle Tim. It was very nice and relaxing till Ry had a potty accident, but luckly we wer done eating. Oh yeah, I forgot...we are now potty trained. We hardly have any pee pee accidents. But we are still working on going poop in the potty. Back to Easter. After lunch we stopped by Grandma and Pawpaw's to drop off Uncle Tim and to help Grandma do a little baking. Then we were on our way home to relax and cook dinner and enjoy some family time before Daddy went to work the next morning. Sunday, we got up and dressed and then headed to Aunties and Uncle Jay's for Easter with the Smith family. I was disappointed that we were not able to attended Church. But with 2 by myself. I am just ready to attempt yet. When we got to Auntie's, Ry and the girls painted Easter eggs and then played outside till everyone arrived. Once everyone arrived, the boys got lots of goodies from Grandma Witch and Grandpa Billy, and Grandma and Pawpaw. Even with all theses goodies there was still an egg hunt to do. Afte enjoying a wonderful spread of food the kiddos got do their egg hunt. All in all we had a wonderfully Blessed Easter. Click on the Click here below to see pics. click here!

Zach is 7 months!

So I have come to the conclusion that Mr. Zach is in no hurry to grow up. He is totally opposite of Ryan. I knew they would not be exactly alike, but they are nothing alike. Ry is my high strung, constantly has to be doing something. Zach is so chilled. He could play in his saucer or walker for hours and never fuss. At 6 months, Zach started a sippy cup and little puff snacks and Cherrios. He hasn't gotten the whole hand to mouth concept, but if you put it in his mouth he chows down. He loves to chew on the sippy cup. It is just another chew thing for him right now. We also started on juice. As far as sitting up or trying to crawl he could care less. He is getting better about sitting though. So hopefully 7 months will be the magic month. Here are some pics of Zach at 6 months. He is such a cutie pie.
sleeping with is new Mo. He loved for the start.
Having a snack when we remember to get one.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures

A couple of weeks ago we finally made it to take Ryan's 2 years pictures, Zach's 6 month pictures and some Easter pictures. I love the way they turn out, but trying to get those shots requires some major work and a whole lot of stress. I leave there needing a 6 pack. But here are the final results of my little men. I just can't resist them when I see these pic.
