A little back porch

We have finally decided it was time to build some kind of porch off our back door. We have been talking about it for about a year or so now, but have never done anything with it. So last Friday we decided that it was time. So after doing some measuring it was off to Lowes. When we returned it was time to level out the rocks. When we first bought the house we had put down some road base to cover the huge rocks that were out the back door. Chris started loosening it up by hand, but soon realized it was a lot more work than he antisipated, so him and Ry were off to get a little excavator. When the returned the real work began. We had made some progress, but after being in the heat all day we called it a day. Chris worked all weekend, so we picked up Monday morning. It went a lot better with starting fresh on a new day. By the end of the day the porch was complete with being short only 2 boards. I am so glad to have a little porch! Now we can use our back door and not track a bunch of rocks and dirt in the house.
