The kids had a great time as always. The first thing we went to see was the petting zoo and the baby chicks. Some of the kids were a little hesitant about the animals and then the others took right to it. I love watching the different personalities come out in the same situations.
After seeing all the animals we found a spot where you could build a bird house or a heart basket. The kids decided they wanted to do this and they had a lot of fun doing it. It sometime get hard when Chris and I become out numbered in projects like this, but it is also a good learning experience for the kids to learn how to be patient and wait their turn.
When the kids were done building their project we headed over to the tractor pull, but we did not quite make it. On our way they were having sign up for the kiddy tractor pull and the boys decided that they wanted to give it a try. So we got the signed up and weighted in to find out which group they would be in. While we waited for the pull to start we went to get some lunch.
The boys did really good in the tractor pull for their first time, but neither one made it past the first round. They said they really liked it and want to try again next year.
When the tractor pull was all over we headed over to the carnival to ride some rides. We have learned from previous year that we only get a certain amount of tickets and when we are out it is time to go home. The kids had a blast riding the ride. MaKinley really had fun this year since she is now tall enough to ride some of the ride by herself.
