South Parde Day 1

After unexpected weekend stay in the hospital last weekend and then playing catch up the last several days we left bright and early on Thursday for our family vacation with our friends the Gibbons. It use to be a yearly thing to go to South Parde Island, but we have not been in the last 4 years. We were all excited to be going back.

We left our house at 4 o'clock in the morning to head to the Gibbon's house to load up their stuff in the trailer and then hit the road. We got on the road finally around 6:00 after stopping for some breakfast. We arrived at our condo around lunch time. Since nobody had stayed at the condo the night before we were able to checkin early. After unpacking and eating some lunch we loaded up our wagon and then headed down to the beach.

After spending the afternoon on the beach. We headed back to make some dinner and relax for the evening. Like in the past years, we took turns cooking dinner and going out. The first night was our night to cook and again along with tradition we had spaghetti.

After dinner and once the kids were all settled into bed, Chris and I were able to sit on the balcony and relax. While we were relaxing we all of a sudden heard and saw fireworks. So we went and got the kids up and they were able to watch them for one of our rooms. Supposedly they have fireworks on the bay side every Thursday and Friday night and on the beach side every Friday and Saturday night. The kids really enjoyed the firework show and then took a while to settle back down before going to sleep.
