South Padre Day 2

Friday morning we woke up, had breakfast and got everything ready for a day on the beach. The weather prediction for the rest of our trip were iffy, so we wanted to make sure we got in some good beach time while the weather was nice.

The kids had a blast building sandcastles and playing in the water. We spent pretty much all day on the beach. It was also a good day for Zachary. Before we left for vacation and even the first day we were there Zachary swore and refused to get in the water. If you know Zach once his mind is made up it takes a lot to change it. Somehow we were able to convince him to get his feet wet and rom there with little baby steps he went all the way into the water up to his knees. We all cheered him on and told him how it wasn't so bad and he finally gave in.

After a long day on the beach we headed back to the condo for the kids to make their own pizzas and for Chris and I to get ready to go out for our date night.

Chris and I went out to dinner at the Sea Ranch and then headed to Clayton's the biggest beach bar in Texas for drinks and to watch the fireworks show. It was really nice to get a chance to relax without kiddos, since we had been going 90 to nothing since Zach went into the hospital. We had a great time getting to talk and catch up on life with out being interrupted.

After the firework show we head back to the condo and sat up visiting for a while before going to bed, so we could get up again and do the beach thing all over again!!!
