We left our house about 6 o'clock in the morning and arrived on the island around 9 o'clock. Once we found a spot and got all setup and sun screen on, we spent the day enjoying to sand and water.
The beach itself was nice, but there was a big wall of seaweed that separated the sand from the water. Every time you would want to get in the water or back on the beach, you would either have to step down from the seaweed or step up on to the beach. But besides the seaweed, the beach was really nice and the kids all had a blast.
Later in the afternoon, Nana and Papo arrived. They were taking Papo's brother and his wife, that are from Dallas, around the coast and came by to say hi. It worked out really nice, because we were getting ready to leave and since they were in his truck we were able to get a ride in the back to the showers without having to get the inside of my car all sandy.
After showering off and putting on fresh clothes, we started our trip back home. I think at one point almost all the kids were a sleep.
For just being a day trip we all had a blast and can't wait to go back!!
