This Easter we stayed in New Braunfels. Chris has been so busy the last couple of months that we decided it would be best to just stay around the house and get some things done. Easter morning the boys woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had been by and left them a few goodies in their baskets. They were very excited about the shirts and the little blow up bunny. After breakfast we started to get ready for church, but neither one of them were cooperating and since Easter Mass is always packed, we decided that it would be best if we didn't go. So we did the next best thing, a little service at home. I know that it is not the same, but it was really nice to be able to watch church on TV and then we did the reading and discussed it with Ryan. He was very receptive to it and I felt like he had gotten a better understanding about what Easter is all about. This is not going to be a reoccurring thing, as the boys do need to learn how to behave at Church.
After our little service, we finished getting ready and loaded up to head over to Chris' sisters house. We had a nice time visiting and the boys had fun playing with there cousins. They received lots of goodies from their grandparents and had a blast hunting eggs. They had so much fun, that they were both a sleep by the time we got home.
I feel so lucky to be able to spend these special holidays with my family and loved ones. I hope everyone had a very blessed Easter.
Saying Mickey Mouse!!
Here is a comparison of just how much Zach and Jacob have changed in a year. This is Easter this year.
And this is Easter 2010. They have grown and changed so much. I can't wait to see what kind of trouble these two will cause in the future together.
