This year for Ryan's kindergarten field trip they went to the Magik theater to see the play Pinnochio and then they were supposed to go to a nearby park for a picnic lunch and to play. But when we got out of the play it was raining, so the teachers decided to just head back to school.
Since, I had already planned to just take Ryan with me after lunch, and the rain had stopped, we headed down to the Riverwalk for a little Ryan and Mommy time. After walking around so Ryan could see all his options for lunch, he picked Saltgrass Steakhouse. He ordered the kids steak plate and ate it all.
After eating our lunch we walked around a little more and then we did the river boat ride. Which he really enjoyed and it was even educational. When we were done with the river boat, it was time to head back to the car to go pick up Zach and MaKinley.
Ryan told me that this was his best field trip ever because he got to enjoy some Mommy time all to himself and pick what we got to do.
