Every year I try and make a big deal about Fat Tuesday. It is a big celebration on the day before Ash Wednesday. This year Fat Tuesday was the day after we got back from Colorado. So while the big kids were in school the little ones and I headed out to find a few decorations for the house. Thankfully, I was thinking ahead while in Colorado and Nana and Papo went to the grocery store for us before they left so I didn't have too.
The kid had a blast being silly with all the goodies we picked up. We then enjoyed some crawfish étouffée, crawfish corn bread and then for dessert we had personal kings cake. It was simple but perfect way to celebrate Fat Tuesday with our little family.
