Happy Birthday to Me!!

I had a great birthday spending it with my kids. Chris had to work, but came home with some flowers, sushi, and a cake for the kids to sing Happy Birthday to me. I couldn't have asked for a better day.

Birthday Date!!!

This past Saturday Chris and I got away for the day to celebrate my upcoming birthday. We decided to play tourist and go check out the Pearl Brewery in San Antonio. First we had lunch at Botika and then walked around and checked out the area. A lot is still under construction, so I guess we will have to plan a trip back there one day. 

After walking around we took a river boat to the River walk area and ended up at Dirty Nelly's for a couple of beers and music. After Dirty Nelly's we went and had dinner at Fogo De Chao. Neither Chris or I had ever been so it was good to experience it together. 

When we were stuffed we started to head back to the car walking the street to find a bar we had seen from the river boat on our way to the River Walk. The bar was The Luxury. It was a super neat place with these swings over looking the river that hung from old fire hoses. 

After a couple a beers, we headed back to the car to head home for get ready for a busy 4th of July weekend. 

Happy 4th of July

We had a great 4th of July with friends, even thou Zachary ended up sick. We spent the day before 4th of July with the Edwards family having fun in the sun and enjoying their pool. Since we didn't have to be there till the afternoon, we spent the morning making some festive food to take over there.

On the 4th of July Zachary was still not feeling well, so we had to cancel our plan to go over to some more friends house, but Ryan, MaKinley, and me did go to the parade. We met up with the Salge family and the Edwards for the parade. The kids had a great time watching all the stuff in the parade. 

After the parade we spent the rest of the day hanging out at the house. Then that evening we drove up to the front of our neigherhood where we were able to watch the fireworks from the park. It didn't out to the be 4th of July we had planned, but it was still a good one.
