This past weekend we made a trip up to East Texas to drop Ryan off at his first every away camp.
But before we could drop Ryan off we met up with Nana and Papo in Columbus to drop off Zachary to spend the week with them. Zachary was so excited to get to spend the week just him with Nana and Papo. He is going to be attending St. Philip's VBS in the morning and then doing different things with Nana, Papo, and Uncle Andy.
After dropping Zachary off, we then made our way to Katy to visit and catch up with the Porter Family. It was so good seeing them and the kids had a blast playing before we continued our long car ride up to East Texas.
We spent Saturday night in a hotel. It was the most awful night ever. Caiden had fallen asleep on the car ride and then had a screaming fit trying to back to sleep. Chris ended up having to take him to the lobby so the other kids could fall asleep. He eventually fell asleep after midnight.
The next morning we got up had breakfast and then found a local church to attend. After church it was time to grab some lunch and make our way to The Pine's Catholic Camp to drop Ryan off for the week.
It really neat that Ryan gets to attend this camp. I have some cousins who went when they were younger and then became camp councilors. Ryan was super excited, but nervous at the same time. This would be the first time he would be away and not no anyone there.
He did really well dropping him off. Once he found his cabin and picked out a bunk, he was ready to kick us out so he could hang out with the other campers there.
I am super excited to here about his week when we pick him up. I also can't wait to see pictures of him throughout the week.
