Weekend Projects

This past weekend we did a few projects around the house. The first project was painting the blue walls in the kitchen and living room. I have disliked the blue walls since we moved into the house and it has taken us this long to finally find a color that we like and that goes with our furniture.

On Saturday while I took the older boys to a birthday party and the younger two took naps Chris worked on painting. It took him most of the morning and afternoon to get it painted, but man did it look so good once he was done. We both really love the color and it has defiantly made the house more homey feeling to us.

On Sunday Chris made one of my other wish projects a reality. With 4 kids and school starting soon I really have been wanting a place for their backpacks to go, besides my kitchen chairs.

I have been hunting Pinterest for a while now. I thought I had an idea, but when we went to put it all together it just didn't look right. So back to Pinterest I went and Chris even did his own looking and found something that we both loved. After deciding on a new spot to put it, instead of behind the front door, Chris went to work. It took us several days to totally complete the project, but again I am in love with the finally product and can not wait for school to start and put it to use!!!
